Iowa officials have launched a new website, Iowa Child Care Connect, to help residents find available child care slots by filtering searches based on location, type and quality ratings. Iowa is the first state to integrate real-time child care data from multiple sources, aiming to improve the state's childcare system. The $5.2 million website, funded by federal American Rescue Plan Act dollars, includes information on nearly 3,500 providers and will cost $500,000 annually to maintain.
