Working in Marion County
The best part of working in Marion County is definitely the people! Knoxville, and the surrounding communities are full of great peo- ple. I get to go to work every day with some of the best staff and I spend my day with great clients and their pets.

Living in Marion County
I enjoy living in an area that offers a great school system, great local shops and restaurants, and lot of really unique outdoor recreation areas. Also, the cost of living in Marion County is much lower than living in the Des Moines Metro area – but we are still just a short drive away if we want the benefits of going to Des Moines for the day. Really it is a great place to live!

Career Advice to Teens
Contact a local vet and set up a time to shadow him or her to see if this career path would be a good fit for you. Also, study hard and take lots of science courses in high school to better prepare yourself for the courses you will have to take in college.
