Working in Marion County
Growing up in Marion County I know have the opportunity to work alongside many of the same people that I’ve grown up with over the years. I enjoy working with the variety of individuals that continue to make Marion County a better place to live and work.

Living in Marion County
The vast variety of amenities offered – Lake Red Rock, Knoxville Raceway, Grand Theater and several restaurants. Not only the amenities offered but the people. I truly love the familiar faces I see everywhere I go.

Favorite Place to Relax
Camping around the lake. The majority of summer weekends our family spends camping with friends at one of our may campgrounds or at the Raceway.

Career Opportunities
Many of our employers have entry level positions available. Not only can people get hands on experience and training, but I believe our employers do well at career advancement opportunities for their employees so they’re able to train and retain them.

Community Favorites
The variety of things to do. Whether you love nature and hiking or fishing around the lake, experiencing a race at the Track or enjoying dinner and a movie there’s something for everyone.

Career Advice to Teens
Education and experience is a huge part of my role. No two days are alike and each day you’re faced with making decisions that impact your community. My advice would be to get into the field of local government as soon as you can if you’re interested in being a city manager someday. Your experience in other aspects of government will make you a well-rounded manager.

Mentor
Former Knoxville City Manager-Aaron Adams & Assistant Manager Dylan Feik

What is your wish for the Red Rock Area?
Continue to prosper! Marion County is an innovative, forward-thinking County full of community partnerships doing big things. My hope is that we continue down this path bringing new business, education and hospitality to the residents served.

What is your biggest passion, and why?
My greatest passion would be my family. They’re not only my world but they’ve supported me immensely over the years as I continued my education and I wouldn’t be able to be here without their support.

3 Hobbies
